Exfoliation 101: Smooth Out Texture

Exfoliation is the key to smooth, even-toned skin. But overdoing it can ruin your barrier. Here is your guide to acids.
AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids)
Water-soluble acids like Glycolic and Lactic Acid. They work on the surface to dissolve the glue holding dead skin cells together. Great for dry skin and surface pigmentation.
BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acids)
Oil-soluble acids like Salicylic Acid. They go deep into pores. Best for oily and acne-prone skin.
PHA (Poly Hydroxy Acids)
The gentle cousins of AHAs. They possess larger molecules, so they penetrate slowly. Perfect for sensitive skin.
Tip: Limit exfoliation to 2-3 times a week to maintain a healthy skin barrier.
